Writing Previews
I create stories of inspiration for the world to have hope, believe in justice, and participate in freedom. It’s the heart of everything done on screen, page, and stage.
My Approach
My passion is bringing screenplays, stage plays, and other creative work to an audience that wants to have hope in the human heart. My work reveals ways we can cope with damaging pasts or present struggles and to cling to a bright future. My characters discover hope in the best that is yet to come as they find their way through the journey of life. I portray women in film and on stage with valor, hope, strength, beauty, and the glory of all that women are and can be.
THE METER MAID
In the small town of Mittenville the residents have a city pride and loyalty for their people and their tulips. They have peaceful order that is bound by the law, a respectful caring community upheld by justice in the hands of a few. One hand that wields just balance to their order in the streets, particularly the parking is upheld by 36 YEAR OLD Rita Reiter, THE Meter Maid. Hearing the tick of an expiring meter two city blocks away, her intensity for her job is unmatched. With the click of a gear on her bike and a whip of her ticket book she will be sure that you pay for any misconduct on her shift. Among her small band of quirky friends and eclectic bike bar, that serves malted milkshakes, Rita stands as a pillar of her community. She is looked up to among most as a hero for Mittenville. A sexy aura of confidence draws men to her, in spite of her rounded size and plain looks. Refusing to be ruled, and denying his responsibility to follow the law, 59 YEAR OLD Mayor Waldo Waldorf defies Rita's work to keep order to parking rules. Then the mayor goes a step further, plotting against the long time tulip dynasty family of Mittenville, the VanNogen’s Tulip Farm. As political forces begin to manipulate and maneuver around compliance with the law for the benefit of the mayor, it becomes Rita as the lone warrior standing against the system. She discovers the plot of Mayor Waldo Waldorf, then in an effort to spare her beloved Mittenville from being redefined as a community of tight knit families and friends into a money grabbing tourist city of prestige, she forms her own plot. With the help of her family of friends, a band of quirky meter maids and a few fans, she sets out to save the day. Mittenville won't be mapped on the mitten as a city run by politics but a city run by the families and friends that love her. Mittenville will stand for truth and justice, Rita Reiter will be sure to tenure her tulips and defend her highly regarded parking standards.//
